PGO is a low viscosity, multi-purpose lubricant that has been specifically developed to comply with the MOD’s OX24 (NATO 0–157) specification.
This specification covers the lubrication and corrosion protection of all weapons from small arms to light calibre weapons.
It also requires that the lubricant must work in extreme conditions from the Arctic (-54ºC), to high temperature high humidity (tropical e.g. 40ºC and 90% RH) and high temperature low humidity (desert e.g. 50ºC and 20% RH).
