Teroson RB 1294 is a permanent plastic butyl sealer based on non reactive rubbers.
Characteristics
- Due to its hot melt effect, the application must be carried out at high temperatures
- Strongly adheres to many surfaces, such as plastics, metal alloys and also to oiled metal sheets.
- The expansion ratio is dependent from temperature and time
- Retains its plastic properties at low temperatures without getting brittle or flaking off
- Excellent sealing and corrosion protection
Application
- Used to seal cavities in the body shop or paint shop of the automotive industry, where tolerances have to be bridged.
- The product can be used on oiled metal sheets and also on painted surfaces.
- With its slight expansion the tightness of cavities could be easily obtained.
Application examples are :
- sealing of wheel housing
- sills
- antiflutter for roof bows or side panels
